Maintenance is essential
to a long lasting cedar shake roof. Over time, materials begin to accumulate
on or between the shakes and fungi, moss and mildew begin to grow on the
surface. With proper cleaning and treatment you can often double or triple
the life of your cedar shake roof. In the restoration process, we remove
the moss, lichen, fungus and rot that cause the shingle to fail. Freedom
Wood Restoration will then treat your roof with a penetrating preservative
that will prevent the re-growth of fungus and rot, in addition to replenishing
the roof with oils and resins that are lost by the elements.
